Terms of Use
These Terms of Use apply to your use of the GroupKeeper app. By downloading or using GroupKeeper, you agree to these Terms and to Apple's applicable terms for apps distributed through the App Store.
1. Using GroupKeeper
GroupKeeper provides tools for organizing people, creating groups, recording activity history, and related organizational tasks. You may use the app only in compliance with applicable law, these Terms, and Apple's applicable terms.
2. Your Content and Responsibilities
You are responsible for information you enter into GroupKeeper and for how you use the app's results. If you enter information about other people, including students, employees, volunteers, or minors, you are responsible for having appropriate authority to use that information and for complying with any applicable laws, school policies, employer policies, contractual obligations, or other requirements.
You should not enter information that is unnecessarily sensitive or that you are not permitted to store or process.
3. Organizational and Grouping Results
GroupKeeper is an organizational aid. Automatically generated groups, recommendations, balancing results, warnings, and other outputs are tools to assist your judgment. They are not a substitute for your professional, educational, managerial, legal, or safety responsibilities.
You remain responsible for reviewing results and deciding whether they are appropriate for your situation.
4. GroupKeeper Pro Purchases
GroupKeeper may offer paid GroupKeeper Pro access through the Apple App Store. Available products, prices, trial or introductory offers, and other purchase terms are displayed before purchase and are controlled through Apple's in-app purchase system.
5. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription:
- payment is charged to your Apple Account through the App Store;
- the subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled in accordance with Apple's subscription rules;
- you can manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings;
- any free trial or introductory offer is subject to Apple's eligibility rules and the terms shown at the time of purchase; and
- price changes are handled in accordance with Apple's App Store policies and applicable law.
6. Lifetime Purchase
If GroupKeeper offers a non-consumable “Lifetime” purchase, it is a one-time App Store purchase that does not automatically renew. It provides ongoing access to the GroupKeeper Pro features associated with that purchase, subject to these Terms, continued compatibility and availability of the app, and applicable App Store rules.
7. Restoring Purchases and Refunds
Eligible purchases can be restored using the restore-purchase functionality provided in GroupKeeper and Apple's systems. Purchases and refunds are processed by Apple. Refund eligibility and processing are subject to Apple's policies.
8. iCloud and Third-Party Services
GroupKeeper may use services provided by Apple, including iCloud, CloudKit, StoreKit, and the App Store, as well as RevenueCat for purchase and entitlement management. Your use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not use GroupKeeper to violate applicable law, infringe the rights of others, gain unauthorized access to systems or information, distribute malicious software, interfere with the operation of the app, or use information about people in a manner that is unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise prohibited by applicable rules or policies.
10. Intellectual Property
GroupKeeper and its software, design, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license provided through the App Store and Apple's Standard EULA, no ownership rights are transferred to you.
11. Availability and Changes
GroupKeeper may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued as the app evolves, to maintain compatibility, to address security or legal requirements, or for other legitimate reasons. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain unchanged or available indefinitely.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GroupKeeper is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every particular organizational purpose. Rights that cannot legally be excluded are not affected by this provision.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GroupKeeper's provider will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.
14. Termination
You may stop using GroupKeeper at any time. Your rights to use the app may be limited or terminated if you materially violate these Terms, subject to applicable law and Apple's Standard EULA.
15. Privacy
Your use of GroupKeeper is also subject to the GroupKeeper Privacy Policy.
16. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as GroupKeeper changes or as platform and legal requirements evolve. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
