Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how GroupKeeper handles information when you use the GroupKeeper app. GroupKeeper is designed to organize people, create groups, and maintain activity history while keeping the information you enter under your control.
1. Information You Enter in GroupKeeper
GroupKeeper may process information that you choose to enter into the app, such as:
- workspace or class names and descriptions;
- participant names;
- roles, custom properties, notes, and organizational preferences;
- relationship preferences such as people who work well together or should be separated;
- absence or participation status; and
- generated groups, activity history, and related organizational records.
This information is used only to provide the features of GroupKeeper. GroupKeeper does not sell this information or use it for advertising.
2. Local Storage and iCloud
GroupKeeper stores app data on your device. When iCloud is available and enabled for GroupKeeper, app data may also be synchronized through Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services so that it can remain available across your compatible Apple devices.
CloudKit data is associated with your iCloud account and is processed by Apple according to Apple's applicable privacy terms and policies. GroupKeeper does not operate a separate cloud account system for your workspaces, classes, or participant information.
3. Purchases and RevenueCat
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. GroupKeeper does not receive or store your payment card information.
GroupKeeper uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, determine access to GroupKeeper Pro, restore purchases, and support purchase-related analytics and administration. RevenueCat may process purchase history and an app-specific user identifier for these purposes. GroupKeeper does not intentionally send your workspace, class, participant, note, or grouping content to RevenueCat.

4. Apple Services
GroupKeeper relies on Apple services that may process information as part of providing the app, including the App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, and CloudKit. Apple's handling of information is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and terms. You can review Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
GroupKeeper does not use participant or classroom information for advertising and does not sell personal information. GroupKeeper does not use cross-app advertising tracking.
Apple may provide developers with App Store, crash, or diagnostic information depending on your device and Apple privacy settings. Purchase information may also be processed through RevenueCat as described above.
6. Information About Students or Other People
GroupKeeper is intended to be used by adults such as educators, organizers, and other responsible users. It is not designed for children to independently create or manage purchases or organizational records.
If you enter information about another person, including a student or minor, you are responsible for having appropriate authority to do so and for complying with applicable laws, school or employer policies, and other requirements that apply to that information. You should avoid entering sensitive or unnecessary personal information.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Information you create in GroupKeeper remains on your device, and when iCloud synchronization is enabled it may remain in your iCloud-synchronized data, until it is deleted through the app or otherwise removed through applicable Apple/iCloud controls.
Deleting content through GroupKeeper's available deletion controls removes that content from the app and, when iCloud synchronization is active, the deletion is intended to synchronize through iCloud. Simply deleting the app from one device may not delete information that remains stored in iCloud and may allow that information to return if the app is reinstalled and iCloud synchronization is enabled.
Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase and transaction records for periods required for transaction processing, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, or other legitimate operational purposes.

8. Security
GroupKeeper uses the security features provided by iOS, iPadOS, SwiftData, and Apple's iCloud/CloudKit infrastructure. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but reasonable measures are used to protect information handled by the app.
9. Your Choices
You control the information you choose to enter into GroupKeeper. You may edit or delete app content using the controls available in the app. You can also manage iCloud access for apps through your Apple device settings.
For purchase management, subscription cancellation, refunds, and App Store account controls, use the options provided by Apple.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as GroupKeeper changes or as legal and platform requirements evolve. When material changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
